I thought we might be able to post cancellations as we learn of them this week-end.

All Soul'd Out concerts in Virginia & N Carolina have been cancelled for January 29, 30, & 31. No date to reschedule has been announced.

The Primitive Qt concert for tonight in Princeton, WV has been cancelled. Has been rescheduled for Thursday Feburary at 7PM at the Princeton Church of God.

Due to a Snow Storm coming to the mountains of North Carolina the Lenoir Concert
has been rescheduled for Thursday Feb. 25-2010 at 7:00 PM. Thank You for your understanding.

The Booth Brothers cancelled their concerts for this weekend. They were planning to be in Clinton, OK, Tulsa, OK and Little Rock, AR.

The Mark Trammell Trio (soon to be Mark Trammell Quartet) cancelled a couple concerts this weekend as well. Not sure where they were scheduled to be but remember seeing a note on fb from Joel Wood saying their concerts were cancelled this weekend due to weather.

They would have been really pushed to make their 6:30 PM date in Bladenboro if they had sung in Nebo on Sunday morning anyway. People don't realize how long NC is.

For DeeAnn and those planning to go to Gainesville tomorrow night: tonight on Suppertime Gospel, Danny O'Day said that Hayne Tatum will make an announcement at 9 a.m. tomorrow morning as to whether or not they will go ahead with the concert. Danny will announce it on the air on WCON FM, 99.3. For those out of the listening area, you can listen on their internet stream at http://www.wconfm.com.

Here's hoping that the ice stays north and he can have the concert in Gainesville. He always has problems with the weather for this concert. He moved to the last Saturday night in Jan a couple of years ago because he was having so much trouble with weather. Guess bad weather found out when he was having concert.

I know, I used to get tix for this the day they went on sale but kept having to miss for weather or he would reschedule and I could not make the reschedule date so now I just wait on this one till the day of.

Hey Everybody,

It's been one more day with this strong winter storm that has affected so many people including Nashville. The local Nashville weather says it's the worse winter storm in more than 10 years. The sleet and snow started this morning and it hasn't let up at all. By noon today the ground was covered with more than an inch of snow and ice. The roads quickly became very hazardous. We all know snow is easier to drive in but ice is extremely dangerous. A 18 car pileup on Interstate 24 close to HisSong's home base only 10 minutes out of Nashville left some serious injuries due to icy roads. The worse is yet to come according to the local weather. Nashville & Smyrna, TN are expecting many more inches of snow and up to 3 inches of ice.

HisSong was scheduled to sing Saturday night close to Chattanooga, Tennessee then Sunday morning & night in Georgia. After checking the roads and receiving a call that the roads in Chattanooga and Northern Georgia were no differnet than Nashville and the Saturday night concert was cancelled, Dennis felt it was in the best interest to cancel the Sunday concert dates instead of risking lives on the Bus and on the highway. As bad as the roads are going over the mountain toward Chattanooga, it would have been very dangerous to make it in these conditions. Cancelling the Sunday concerts was extremely hard for Dennis. This is the first cancellation in almost 9 years and the first weather related cancellation.

If your planning to attend a Concert this weekend, you may want to call or check schedules before making the trip. Many Southern Gospel concerts for this weekend have been cancelled.

We do have some good news that came out of this. Both Sunday concerts have been rescheduled. Both Sunday morning & night has been moved to February.

They've cancelled the one for tonight but haven't said anything about Sunday yet. . . .

They were to sing in Lynchburg, VA tonight. I do hope they are able to reschedule as it was a benfit concert for a medicaly needy family.

I just checked the VASOUTHERN CONCERT web site & the TRIBUTE concert for tonight in Lynchburg, VA has been canceled.
