LeFevre Quartet (again!) - formerly "Priority" Quartet

Re: LeFevre Quartet (again!) - formerly "Priority" Quartet

Yesterday morning (1/31) we went to Cartersville to see the LeFevre Quartet. A few years ago there was a trio from Dalton, GA that I used some to open concerts and we often went to hear them sing when they were at other venues in the area. This group was known as the Duvall Family and they were a great group. In early 2007 the Lord sent the group in a different direction. Jeff became MOM at Friendship Baptist Church. Later the pastor left the Church and Jeff served as intern pastor for a while. The Church liked Jeff so well that he became pastor of the Church. We knew where Jeff had been serving for the past years and yesterday morning we walked into the Church early as I wanted to do some photos of LeFevre Quartet and Jeff was standing in the Church. He looked up and saw us and came straight back to speak to us. Since Jeff has been there the Church has busted the seams. Well literally they took out the side walls and built addition to the Church expanding so they could seat about twice many as the Church had originally. Jeff's wife Amy is having a few health problems and asked that we remember her in our prayers.

The morning service began with Jeff baptising a woman, but first she gave her testimony. She was about commit suside when she passed the Church and saw the name of the Church 'Friendship'. She thought she didn't have any friends in the world and went in the Church. There she found a friend in Jesus.

The LeFevre Quartet began to sing and they brought that Baptist Church down. The Holy Spirit was in the service from the begining until the bus was packed and gone. Nathaiel Justice had recently joined the LeFevre Quartet as tenor. We had seen them the previous Saturday night in Powder Springs where Nathaniel was with them for the first official time. Yesterday morning he was great singing with the group and you could see a great improvement. It was like he had sang with them for years. David, Mike and Keith were also great. To end the service the altar was filled with people and two more people accepted Christ as their Savior. It was a great morning.

Nathaniel's wife is a member of the forums and visits often. He comes over and checks us out. I told him heed needed to join in and become a part of us. Hopeful we will see him sometime in the future here. Come on Nathaniel if you see this and join.

Sounds like one of those services (as Tim said the other night) where the costal could come out of your Baptist!!

She is probably referring to Tim Riley of Gold City... :) I am sure she could clarify!

Thanks....Heard a good one last night. Pastor said that the Nursery was located next door in the building but it wasn't opened but if parents had a crying child they could go over there and use it. He said we call it the Ball Room.

Yes it was Tim Riley, they sang a 'I'm Rich' and after an encore Tim said that song about made the 'costal' come out of his Baptist! I liked it!

I saw the guys last night and they were SOOOOO good!!! Keith Inman is fabulous on the bass part! And they have a brand new tenor named Jeremy Easley. It was only his second performance with them and he was incredible. I never saw him stumble on any of the words or entrances. He even jumped right in with the humor, etc. I could not believe he did so well so fast. I'm really, really looking forward to seeing them at Bobby's concert in June.

Dianna is Jeremy officially their new tenor or was he trying out? I know Mike said in the interview in the latest SN mag that they still had not found a full time replacement... I know that Tony Jarman and Nathaniel Justice have both filled in or tried out. I suppose we will find out soon enough! I personally believe Tony would make an excellent fit, if they are still looking...

I thought he was permanent, but I could be wrong. I'll see if I can verify that. . . .

According to David Staton, Jeremy is the official new tenor. I'm glad to hear it. He did an incredible job last night!

I hope they have settled on a tenor, when I saw them in Cartersville Nathaniel was supposed to be the new tenor, now Jeremey is said to be the new tenor. Hope everything works out this time and gets settled and somebody don't change their minds again.

I got the verification from David Staton that Jeremy is IT!! He actually used the word "Official" new tenor!

Well, then, I guess time will tell. I hope that it does last because I like the blend already and it was only Jeremy's second concert with them.
